Privacy Policy

When you ask Vereefi a question, paste a link, or upload a screenshot, that submission and the resulting verdict may be published publicly in our Library so others can benefit. Because of this, please phrase questions about the claim or topic, and do not include your name, contact details, or information that could identify you or another person. Treat anything you submit as potentially public.

What you submit. The health claims, questions, article URLs, screenshots/images, and follow-up chat messages you send us so we can generate and refine a verdict.

No account needed. Public use of Vereefi does not require an account, and we do not ask you for your name or email to use it. (Site administration uses a single private owner login.)

Technical logs. Like any website, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical data (such as IP address and request information) to operate the service securely.

No advertising or tracking. We do not run ads, advertising trackers, or third-party analytics profiling, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

We use your submission only to produce the evidence-graded verdict and to operate and improve the service. To do that, your submitted claim or query is shared with trusted service providers strictly to perform this function:

• Anthropic — the AI model that drafts the verdict from your claim and the retrieved evidence.
• NCBI / PubMed and Semantic Scholar — to search for and rank the supporting medical literature.
• Our hosting and database providers — to run the site and store verdicts.

These providers process the data on our behalf under their own terms; we share only what is needed to generate your result.

Verdicts are stored in our database. Published verdicts appear in the public Library. You can ask us to remove a specific verdict or submission — email us (below) with enough detail to identify it and we will delete it from the Library and our database, except where we must retain something to comply with law.

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Vereefi is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us and we will remove it.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete information about you. Because public Vereefi use is essentially anonymous, the main control you have is over what you choose to submit, and you can request deletion of any verdict as described above. To exercise any right, contact us.

We may update this policy as Vereefi evolves. We will revise the “Effective” date above when we do, and material changes will be reflected on this page.
